At the age of 16, and under my Engineer-Dad’s eye, designed an EV using used streetcar motors mounted directly on each rear wheel and about a million PbA batteries.
Today, I’m driving a PHEV modified Prius, and, with the aid of an EV button, typically get over 1200 MILES to a tank of gas and only stop at a gas station about 4 times per year. I should soon have a converted Insight with an all-electric Prius drive-train.
