I’m a Realtor in the Columbus Ohio area. In our industry, “green” is starting to catch on with more sustainable building materials and practices, but in general we live in a throwaway world and that bothers me.

I’ve become more conscious about my impact on the environment and want to do what I can toward lessening my carbon footprint. Also, my father was a chemical engineer and I am more aware than average of the things we are doing to the planet and our bodies chemically. We have unnecessarily complicated things for the sake of encouraging profits. There’s nothing wrong with profits per se! – but let’s not make them by burdening our health and our waste systems, and by encouraging consumerism and ignorance.
