We go to Cali to be with and pick up my step sons several times throughout the year. We figured this was a better choice to flying and/or driving and using hotels. We also have a waste vegi oil van. We have passive solar heating, on demand water heating, and we use laundry pure; a device that requires no laundry soap (although there are parts to replace every 3 years or so), we recycle almost everything, I garden organically and with home compost. I love to shop and do so at thrift stores, local stores, our co op, flea markets and garage sales. We also do free cycle (look for one in your area).
