Hi you all. How goes it? On tuesday evening I planted the Strawberries, Basil and Roquette. Gilles planted the myrtille bush and wants to put in another rhubard plant. The chives have popped up by themselves....I thought they had died!! Am doing it all in pots so there will be no weeding and I can give them to people when I go on holidays. The cucumbers and cherry toms / big toms will probably be planted this weekend...in pots too. Not sure about the cucumbers as I don't have a really big pot.....but as they are essential eating for the guinea pigs and ourselves, I may have to buy one. I am thinking of lettuce this year too, but not sure which one grows best in a pot. I have a great book that will tell me though.
The vegetable garden is being destroyed this year....too much back breaking hassle due to weeding and the sadness and frustration of coming back from hols with everything dead and dried out. The neighbours didn't come and water as they said they would!!! A garden of dead peas is a very sad sight to behold.
Have a lovely day

Hey there everyone,
So here I go on my first attempt at this great idea. And guess what, I found out that I was doing quite well at the start. I don't drive fast or have a dishwasher (well i do but his name is Gilles) or a dryer. I don't drink a lot of bottled water and have been using a big mug at work for the last 10 years. I don't print out that much paper but not that much is still quite a bit, I guess. I will try to cut down on the meat though and fill the types a wee bit more too.
Anyway thanks squillions To Jean and Camille for getting me onto this.
have a great weekend
Jocelyn
