Hi Royal Acorns members! I don’t know any of you, but I would like to say congratulations on all your success! You seem like a pretty good team, and you guys were the first team I looked at to join. hey guys we should really make sure we stick to our challenges and say you take the bus don’t say leave your car at home for a day because you still emit CO2. or if you carpool too. it doesn’t matter how high up you are on leaderboard or wheather you are on it or not but what counts is the carbon we save. now don’t call me a hypocrite because i am on the leaderboard but i’ve only accpeted 14 challenges. i would rather lose fairly than have the guilt of winning by cheating. If you don’t think i stick to my challenges i would gladly un-accept them.

Hi Acorns & Google Boston – Well, this is quite a battle for the December 1 prize. Both teams are inspiring the rest of us with many commitments to the cause of global warming.

The score difference between these two teams is now razor-thin. For this reason we need to ask all of you to check your “My Carbon Page” for accuracy of the challenges you have accepted. We have reviewed these pages and are finding that some folks accepted challenges as many as 10 times in the 5 weeks since we started. Some of these errors may have been caused by the website, and we are fixing that now. Please note the following about the challenges:

Change a Few Bulbs – can be accepted once for every 3 bulbs you have changed in the past 5 weeks.
Leave Your Car at Home (5 Max) – This is a weekly challenge for people who normally drive to work or school every day. Can be accepted once for each week that you avoided the car for a day.
Get off the Bottle (5 Max) – this is a weekly challenge for people who typically drink bottled water. Can be accepted once for each week you avoided bottled water.
Bring Your Own Bags (1 Max) – This is a monthly challenge. Can be accepted each month you avoid using bags in the grocery store.
Top-off The Tires (1 Max) – This is a monthly challenge. Can be accepted each month you adjust the tire pressure of your (or your family’s) car.

If you find an error in your challenge records, you can click “unaccept” next to challenges taken in the past 21 days. This will remove the challenge from your record.

Sorry for the confusion. We are working every day to make the Rally simpler, more accurate, and more fun. Please let us know if you have any questions.
