Game Day: Turn off all lights during the Super Bowl

This suggestion has been promoted to the "Big Game Blackout" challenge!

When watching the Super Bowl, turn off all the lights in your home, only keeping them on in the TV room. You could even turn them off in the TV room, too, so all lights are off during the Super Bowl.

And if you are inviting your friends over, encourage them to do the same at their home and get credit for it on Carbonrally.

It think this could be a fun kind of statement. Imagine if we were to get the whole country turning off their lights for the Super Bowl? That would be cool.

This challenge could be also be combined with the turn down the heat challenge which was already suggested.

thats a good idea because everybody’s televisions are on on Super Bowl Sunday, so you can make up for the extra energy by turning off all lights.

i think that turning your lights off durring the Super Bowl is an amazig idea. If you think of how many people watch the super bowl every year, and how much electicity is used. turning off the lights could really help a lot. from, matt
