For every 5 loads of dishes that could be washed in the dish washer try and hand wash one of them to conserve energy and reduce carbon.

Yeah actually it takes 4x more water to wash by hand.

This is the only instance in which laziness is good for the enviornment- yes, I am delighted to inform you that you are mistaken and it is actually more energy efficient to sit on your lazy bum while a machine washes your dishes than to do it yourself. It sucks to be wrong, but aren't you sort of glad that you are wrong about this one?

Washing dishes by hand uses more energy than a modern dish washer. Please get the facts before posting.
