re-use a shoe/sneaker

Nike has this re-use/recycle a sneaker program where they have a box located in their store to collect used and/or new sneakers and recycle them. Or, ones that can be re-used, they send these off to countries who lack them or had catastrophes etc.And, for those that get recycled, save BIG on the Earth. And, I even heard can make basketball and/or pathements with them.
